Holiday apartments in the Chasa Bär

Getting to Scuol is no longer a problem, even in winter. With the car you can take the motorway to Landquart, and then from Landquart through the Prättigäu. Then you can put your car in the new Vereina railway in Selftanga near Klosters and 17 minutes later you are in Saglians near Scuol in the Unterengadin. If you go by train its just a couple of minutes from the station to the Casa Bär.

In this beautiful place in the Engadin you will find that in summer and winter there is something for everybody. With its 2 gondelas, 12 ski lifts, and 2 chair lifts you can ski, snowboard, or carve without having to wait. With the gondela Motta Naluns you will get to the ski area in minutes. The high- alpine ski area Motta Naluns is something very special. Easier slopes through the larch trees, and wide downhill slopes, alternate with bumpy pistes and deep snow. Motta Naluns has everything. The 12km long dream slope down to Scuol or Sent is incomparably beautiful. For the cross-country skiers there are 60km of prepared runs through idyllic nature waiting for them.

The region is the door to the big Swiss National Park. Experience inadulterated nature. Wonderful walks along idyllic paths in the untouched mountain nature wonderland of the first national park in Europe. Watch in the wild living animals and the fairytale-like forests and razor-sharp mountain tops. A gondela will take you to more breathtaking landscapes and more starting points for over 1000km of walks.

The sports centre Tru with ist heated garden swimming-pool and mini-golf in the summer and an open-air skating-rink with 5 curling-rinks in winter, are right next to the house. For ice-hockey, skating or a 'disco on ice', curling and ice-stick shooting there is a modern indoor skating rink.

If you just want to go for a walk or you want to sledge you will get what you want. The walks are also great and well-prepared in winter. Just breathe in and simply be happy. Lots of toboggan runs are there for you to zoom down.

If you need a day's rest, just go to the Bogn Engadina baths, a big bathing and sauna complex with steam baths and the first Roman-Irish steam bath in Switzerland. You will feel the relaxation and beneficial effects of this European bath ritual for a long time afterwards.

If you like playing tennis there are open-air sand and indoor tennis courts for you to use. For golfers there is a nine-hole Alpine golf course in Vulpera near Scuol. The area is also great for mountainbikers guided downhill and cross-country tours. Experience once in a lifetime landscape in a open horse-drawn carriage, go on treks or on riding courses.

For your car we will rent you a space in a garage or a parking place in front of the house. A lift will take you and your luggage from the door to your apartment. In the house there is a washing and drying room for you to use.
